The Tax Collector's Office, a unit of the Division of Real Property Tax in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, collects real property taxes, issues tax clearance letters, enforces payment and manages auctions of delinquent properties. On St. Croix, the Lieutenant Governor's contact page lists the Tax Collector on the second floor of the Caribe Home Center Building in Estate Castle Coakley. The Tax Collector's own page says clearance requests on St. Croix are taken at the Sunny Isle and Frederiksted locations, and the phone directory has a Frederiksted entry, but no Frederiksted street address is given, so ask which office to use. Owners and buyers can search and pay tax bills online through the division's portal, request copies of bills or a tax status sheet for a fee, and use the office's card authorization forms for one-time payments or payment plans.
