The terms that apply when you use the USVI Realty website, its guides, downloads, directory and forms.

Educational information only

USVI Realty publishes general, educational information about real estate and property ownership in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is not legal, tax, financial, insurance or investment advice, and it is not an offer to buy, sell or rent property.

USVI Realty is not a real estate brokerage. Using the site does not create an agency, client or advisory relationship of any kind. Before you make a decision about a specific property, talk to licensed professionals.

Accuracy

We check our facts against primary sources, list those sources, and date figures that can change. Laws, fees, rates and schedules still change, and mistakes happen. Confirm anything important with the office or professional responsible before you rely on it.

The Estate finder shows the U.S. Census Bureau’s estate boundaries for statistical reference. They are not legal land descriptions. Confirm the legal description of a parcel with the Recorder of Deeds or a licensed surveyor.

The directory

Directory listings are free and are not endorsements. We do not rank, rate or guarantee any business, and the order of a list says nothing about quality. Check licenses, insurance and references before you hire anyone. Businesses are responsible for the information they give us, and we may edit, decline or remove a listing at any time.

What you send us

When you submit a business, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and that the details are accurate, and you allow us to publish them, edited for length and style, in the directory. Do not send information you do not have the right to share.

We link to public offices, businesses and other sources so you can check them yourself. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other sites.

Photographs, maps and our content

Photographs belong to their authors and are used under the licenses credited next to each one and on our photo and map credits page. Map data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau. The text, design and Buyer’s Guide are USVI Realty’s; you may share links to them and quote short passages with credit.

Limits on our responsibility

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, USVI Realty is not liable for losses that result from using the site or relying on its information.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page.
