Government offices

Moving and settling in, public services listed for reference

These are the public offices most people deal with when they buy, rent or settle in the islands. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor runs the Recorder of Deeds, the Tax Assessor and the Tax Collector, and regulates insurance. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) issues building and coastal zone permits. The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) issues business licenses and runs the public license search. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Bureau of Internal Revenue also have offices on the islands. We list them for reference.
