Frederiksted Health Care, North Shore Health Center

North Shore Health Center, at La Grande Princesse with a Christiansted address, is one of three health centers run by Frederiksted Health Care, Inc., a nonprofit federally qualified health center created in 2000 to provide primary care on St. Croix. The center is open until 7 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and until 5 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, and it is closed on weekends. FHC offers family and internal medicine, pediatrics, prenatal and gynecologic care, immunizations, dental care, psychiatry, behavioral health and lab services, so ask which are offered here. FHC says no one is denied care because of inability to pay, and its sliding fee program discounts bills based on income and family size, with proof of income and ID required. On the third Friday of each month the center opens only in the afternoon. For emergency medical or psychiatric help, call 911.
