The Virgin Islands Department of Health runs its St. Thomas Community Health and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) clinics at Schneider Regional Medical Center. A January 2026 department notice placed both clinics, along with the Office of Environmental Health, on the hospital's second floor, while a February 2025 notice described the Community Health clinic as being at the rear entrance next to the emergency room. Community Health offers primary care and adult medicine, including diabetes and hypertension care, and adult vaccines. The department says these services are open to everyone regardless of income, with a sliding fee scale, and flu vaccines are free for uninsured and underinsured residents by appointment. The MCH clinic gives children's vaccinations, and the Department of Education names MCH as a place to get the health clearance needed for public school registration. Call ahead to confirm the entrance, the clinic times and what to bring.
