Air Animal is a pet relocation company based in Tampa, Florida, that says it was founded in 1977 and describes itself as veterinarian owned and family owned. Its U.S. Virgin Islands page covers moves from the mainland to St. Croix, St. Thomas or St. John and says it can arrange a comfort stop in Puerto Rico before the pet flies on. The company lists help obtaining a health certificate through your own veterinarian, microchipping, transportation and terminal services, and its VIP option runs door to door from one residence to the other. Because entry rules can change, compare what any mover tells you with the Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture's animal import page, which asks for a health certificate issued within 10 days of arrival. Ask which airline and route your pet would take, how long the trip lasts, and how animals are kept cool.

Source: Air Animal website: U.S. Virgin Islands page, https://www.airanimal.com/pet-move-usvi.cfm, and home page, https://www.airanimal.com/, accessed 2026-10-29 (toll free +1 (800) 635-3448). Its USVI page says a microchip is required and gives rabies timing that differs from the Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture page, https://doa.vi.gov/animal-imports/, so those requirements are not repeated here. Its published planning price range is not included.
