Carefree Getaways

Carefree Getaways is a St. John company that describes itself as a villa management company, and its website title refers to villa rentals and property management. The villas it rents are privately owned homes, cottages and condos, generally booked by the week. Its guest services include rental car information, arranging a private taxi from the St. Thomas airport to the Red Hook ferry dock, meeting guests at the St. John ferry dock, help with grocery or provisioning delivery, and referrals for weddings, catering, diving, day sails and charters. For an owner thinking about renting out a St. John home, it is one of several local managers to interview about how guests are found and looked after. The office lists hours of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM.
