The Catherineberg ruins are the remains of a sugar plantation and factory in Virgin Islands National Park, on Centerline Road overlooking Cinnamon Bay. The park describes the site as less developed than Annaberg, but much of the windmill and the boiling house still stand. The Department of Tourism dates the factory buildings and windmill tower to the 18th century, says the estate worked through much of the 19th, and notes that the ruins take a short hike or a rocky drive to reach. Local historians describe the sugar mill as a staging point for the 1733 revolt of enslaved Africans, and in 2025 Ken Wild, a park archaeologist for 43 years, presented new findings from the site, including a graveyard. No restrooms or parking are listed for the site. Entry is free. The park asks visitors not to climb on historic structures, and drones need its written permission.
