Isaac Bay and Jack Bay are undeveloped beaches near Point Udall on the far East End of St. Croix, inside The Nature Conservancy's Jack and Isaac Bay Preserve, about 300 acres protected since 1999 and open to the public. They are reached only on foot, by a trail from a roadside parking area on East End Road (Route 82), about 0.2 miles before Point Udall; a round trip covers roughly 2 to 3 miles with little shade. There are no restrooms, drinking water or lifeguards, so carry water, food, sun protection and snorkel gear, and leave no valuables in the car. Isaac Bay, with deeper water and fewer rocks, is the more popular snorkeling spot, and the sea can turn choppy. The beaches hold St. Croix's largest green and hawksbill turtle nesting populations, and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources protects the offshore waters as a sea turtle preserve.
