Haulover Bay
Haulover Bay

Haulover is a narrow neck of land on St. John's East End with a small bay on each side, one on the north shore and one on the south; part of Haulover Bay is in Virgin Islands National Park. Both beaches are pebbly, with little sand. Park along the road: the south beach is across the street, and a short trail on the north side of the road leads to the north beach. On each side the rocky shore turns to boulders and coral, where snorkelers find many kinds of fish. No facilities are listed, so bring water; cell service is limited. The park warns that winter cold fronts can bring big waves to north shore beaches. There is no fee and no lifeguard is listed. Commercial boats may not land groups in the park's part of the bay, except permitted dive operators, and pets and glass are not allowed.
