Jumbie Bay

Jumbie Bay is a beach on St. John's North Shore in Virgin Islands National Park, reached on foot from North Shore Road. In 2009 park volunteers cut a gently sloping trail to the sand, starting across the road from the Jumbie parking area, and in 2011 the parking area was enlarged, when local news called Jumbie a popular snorkel spot. The park warns that parking outside marked spaces brings fines and towing, and North Shore lots can fill by 10 a.m. No source lists restrooms or other facilities here, so bring water and what you need. There is no fee and no lifeguard is listed. Park rules close Jumbie Beach to groups landed by commercial boats, and pets and glass are not allowed on park beaches.
