Rhythms at Rainbow Beach

Rhythms at Rainbow Beach is a beach bar and restaurant on the sand at Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted, on the west end of St. Croix. It is open every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The menu has shareable appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, a children's menu and daily specials, including fresh-caught fish when available, and the bar pours St. Croix rums and frozen drinks such as its Lime in the Coconut. Its music page lists live bands on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m. Beach rentals, including jet skis, chairs and umbrellas, go through West End Watersports. It is less than three-quarters of a mile from the Frederiksted cruise pier, a five-minute taxi ride or about a 20-minute walk along Hamms Bluff Road. Reservations are limited; groups of eight or more should call ahead, and parties of five or more may be charged a 20 percent gratuity.
