Arthur A. Richards PreK-8 School is a public PreK-8 school at Estate Mount Pleasant, St. Croix, run by the St. Croix District of the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE). Its new campus opened in August 2026 on the site of the former Evelyn M. Williams Elementary School, combining that school with Arthur A. Richards Junior High and replacing buildings damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Office of Disaster Recovery describes a 139,000 square foot, storm-resilient campus for about 750 students, with on-site water storage and solar power. On VIDE's 2026-27 assignment map it is the elementary school for estates such as Carlton, Envy and Mount Pleasant, and the grades 7-8 school for Frederiksted, the west end and other zones. To enroll, complete VIDE's online St. Croix pre-registration form, then register in person at the district office, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Student Services assigns the school.
