St. Croix Central High School

St. Croix Central High School is a public high school for grades 9-12 in the middle of St. Croix, between Frederiksted and Christiansted, run by the St. Croix District of the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE). Open since 1964 as the island's second public high school, it sits near the University of the Virgin Islands. It offers Advanced Placement courses in English, math, science, social studies, fine arts and foreign language; JROTC, whose first two years meet the physical education and health requirements; career and technical education; business certificate tracks; and a bilingual program. On VIDE's 2026-27 assignment map it is the high school for Christiansted, the east end and much of mid-island. New students first register with the district: complete VIDE's online St. Croix pre-registration form, then bring a transcript and the other original documents to the district office, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
