ProSolar Caribbean is a solar and battery installer based in Estate Bovoni on St. Thomas. It says it has served U.S. Virgin Islands residents since 2008, and its website has pages for St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix. The site lists residential and commercial solar systems and battery backup, including the Tesla Powerwall and the Enphase IQ Battery 5P, and it advertises financing. Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs records show ProSolar Systems, LLC holding licenses on St. Thomas, among them a general construction license, and a separate license location on St. Croix. A battery can keep chosen circuits running during a power outage, so ask the installer which loads the system will carry and for how long. Ask too how the panels are anchored for hurricane winds, what the warranties cover, and what WAPA requires before a grid-connected system is switched on.
