Moving and settling in
Storage units help during a move, a renovation or the months between leases. On the islands, ask a storage company about climate control, because heat and humidity are hard on furniture, papers and electronics. Ask too how the building is protected in hurricanes, what security and access hours it has, and what insurance covers. Compare unit sizes and prices, and ask whether there are move-in fees or minimum terms. If you are storing a car or a boat, ask whether the facility takes vehicles.
