Low Key Watersports is a dive shop at 1 Bay Street in Cruz Bay, St. John, that calls itself a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Course) center; its courses run from Discover Scuba Diving up to Divemaster and Instructor. Two-tank boat dives leave Cruz Bay daily: the morning trip (check-in 8:10 a.m.) is for certified divers 12 and older, and the afternoon trip (check-in 12:45 p.m.) takes certified divers, students, first-timers and snorkelers from age 10. Discover Scuba requires swimming ability, a medical questionnaire and a short online course done at least 24 hours ahead. Weekly night dives are for certified divers, and two-stop snorkel tours suit people comfortable in water over their heads. Most dives are 40 to 60 feet deep at sites 15 to 20 minutes away. The shop rents gear, fills tanks and does repairs. Parking is in a paid lot behind the shop.
