Banks

Moving and settling in

Banks and credit unions on the islands offer accounts, mortgages and business banking, and some branches serve more than one island. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's BankFind service shows whether a bank is FDIC-insured, and credit unions are insured separately. Ask about the documents you need to open an account, how wire transfers work for a property purchase, and whether the bank also lends on the type of property you want. Ask about fees for international transfers if you are moving money from abroad. Each listing shows when we last verified it.
