Davis Bay, also called Carambola Beach, is on St. Croix's North Shore west of Cane Bay, below the former Carambola Beach Resort. The resort closed in 2026 and is being rebuilt behind construction fences as Club Med St. Croix, expected to open in 2027. Before the closure, the public parked in the upper lot outside the guard gate and took signed steps down to the beach. As of October 2026, no source says how the public reaches the beach during construction, so ask locally first, and expect no facilities. Swimming and snorkeling can be good on calm days, but the bottom is rocky in places, the surf can be rough and currents are often strong. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) is not monitoring the water here this season, per its October 30, 2026 data. The Annaly Bay tide pools trail starts near the same gate.
Services
- Public access during construction unconfirmed (October 2026)
- No facilities while the resort is closed for construction
- Swimming and snorkeling in calm conditions; rocky bottom in places
