Lindbergh Bay Beach is a public beach on St. Thomas across from Cyril E. King Airport, near Emerald Beach Resort and the Lindbergh Bay Hotel. Three agencies share it: the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation looks after the sand, the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) the water and the Virgin Islands Port Authority the land beside it. The beach is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily with no entry fee, and its restrooms reopened after renovation in 2023. Port Authority rules ban glass bottles, open flames, pets except registered service dogs, live bands or amplified music, metal detectors, jet skis in the swim zone and taking sand or shells; groups over 15 need a permit. The Port Authority's Lindbergh Bay Park next door is free from sunrise to sunset, with picnic tables, play areas and a gazebo and shed for rent. DPNR tests the water weekly.
