Secret Harbour is a calm, crescent-shaped cove on the East End of St. Thomas, in Estate Nazareth near Red Hook, with Secret Harbour Beach Resort around it. The sandy entry slopes gently, so the cove suits beginning swimmers and snorkelers. The Department of Tourism describes it as a protected marine sanctuary: sea fans grow on the reef, sponges and soft corals line the rocky right side, and octopus, turtles and tropical fish are seen just offshore. Aqua Action Dive Center at the resort rents snorkel gear, kayaks, paddleboards and beach chairs and runs guided snorkel trips, the resort has restaurants and a beach bar, and the department lists restrooms and an anchored raft for sunbathing. The public has the right to use the beach under the Coastal Zone Management Act, but no source gives parking rules for non-guests. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources tests the water here weekly.
