Water Bay is the bay just south of Coki Point on the East End of St. Thomas, and its beach, named Pineapple Beach in U.S. Geological Survey records, lines the bay's west shore. Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas, at 6080 Estate Smith Bay, sits on the bay; the resort describes fine white sand in a cove fringed with palms, a view of St. John, and its Margaritaville Restaurant on the beach. Under Virgin Islands law the shore is public up to the high-water mark, but no source confirms a public route over resort property, parking, rentals, restrooms or lifeguards for day visitors, so ask at the resort gate or arrive by water. The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) lists Water Bay among its monitored beaches but did not sample it in any weekly advisory from August 7 to October 30, 2026, so its current water quality is unknown.
