The Lind Point Trail is a set of short, signed paths in Virgin Islands National Park that starts just behind the park visitor center in Cruz Bay. Take the stairs behind the visitor center, turn left at the top and follow the road uphill; the trail is on the right. Upper and lower branches lead to a harbor overlook and on to Salomon and Honeymoon beaches. The park estimates 20 to 40 minutes for the walk to the overlook, and the Department of Tourism gives 2.3 miles and about an hour for the loop to Honeymoon Beach. The path is narrow and rocky and not wheelchair accessible. A second entrance starts at the first two gravel lots on North Shore Road. Drivers parking near the visitor center need an NPS permit from inside, available during weekday hours. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed on the beaches.

Services

  • Trailhead behind the Cruz Bay visitor center; second entrance from North Shore Road
  • Upper and lower branches to the Lind Point overlook, Salomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach
  • No fee
  • Leashed dogs on the trail, not on beaches
