The Banana Deck is an open-air restaurant and bar one flight up in downtown Cruz Bay, St. John, across from The Beach Bar and Wharfside Village and a short walk from the ferry dock, with views over the water of Cruz Bay. It serves lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Its specialty is the hand-cut ribeye steak, and the rest of the menu runs from seafood to land dishes, with island cocktails and local beer at the bar. On Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. there is a brunch with a bottomless, pour-your-own Bloody Mary and mimosa bar stocked with more than ten hot sauces, and there is live music on Thursday evenings. It takes walk-ins and offers takeout. In the 2025 slow season it closed from September 11 to November 1, so check before a fall visit.
