The Longboard

The Longboard is a casual coastal kitchen and bar on Prince Street in the center of Cruz Bay, St. John, a short walk from the passenger ferry dock. The menu centers on poke bowls, ceviches, bar snacks and small plates for sharing, made with local spices, seafood and produce, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan choices; there is no children's menu, but staff can adjust dishes for kids. The bar makes its own ginger beer and grapefruit soda and is known for its frozen painkiller. The kitchen is open daily from 2 to 9 p.m. and the bar until 10 p.m., with happy hour from 2 to 4 p.m. It takes no reservations, and seating, including an open-air porch, is first come, first served; the restaurant says waits are shortest from 2 to 4 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. In 2025 it closed for several weeks in November.
