The Petite Pump Room is a family-owned bar and restaurant on the Charlotte Amalie waterfront, St. Thomas, in the Edward Wilmoth Blyden Building on Veterans Drive, near the ferries and seaplane to St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands. It serves local Caribbean and American food for breakfast and lunch, Monday to Saturday and on Sundays in season. Mornings bring omelets, breakfast burritos and salt fish with okra; at lunch there are conch fritters, coconut shrimp, burgers, sandwiches and wraps, plus daily local specials such as conch in garlic butter sauce, fried fish in Creole sauce and stewed oxtails. Drinks include its house painkiller and rum punch. Seating is indoors and on two open-air terraces over the harbor. The Watson family has run it since 1970. The restaurant says parking is always available; it also does takeout and catering and hosts private parties.
