The Easterly is a waterfront restaurant and bar in Red Hook Quarter, on the East End of St. Thomas, set among palm trees and greenery. Everything comes from a wood-fired kitchen, and the menu leans toward the sea: ceviches, crudos, octopus, shellfish, lobster and whole grilled fish, with local produce, craft cocktails, local craft beers and wine. Dinner is served Thursday to Tuesday, with the kitchen open from 5 to 10 p.m. and the bar until 11 p.m.; it is closed on Wednesdays during hurricane season. Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and open up to 60 days ahead online or by phone, but part of the dining room and bar is held each night for walk-ins, with a waitlist at busy times.
