Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS) is a public high school for grades 9-12 on Sugar Estate Road, St. Thomas, and the school says it is the largest high school in the St. Thomas-St. John District of the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE). It opened in 1920 and has been at Sugar Estate since 1955. In 2019 it moved into modular buildings on its athletic field to await a new campus, and in 2021 a renovated part of the Ralph O. Wheatley Skill Center became its Ninth Grade Academy. Construction of the new campus began in April 2026, when the Office of Disaster Recovery gave December 2029 as the planned completion. New students register through the district: complete VIDE's online pre-registration form, then bring an official transcript and the other original documents to the registration office, weekdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
