Edith L. Williams Alternative Academy is a public alternative school in the St. Thomas-St. John District of the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE), for at-risk students who are not succeeding in a traditional school. The academy says it offers several routes toward graduation, with support services for students and their immediate families, and its posted ninth grade program covers English, reading, Algebra 1, biology, Caribbean history, digital literacy and physical education. VIDE listed the academy among its schools in October 2026, and its 2025-26 schedule, the latest posted, grouped it with the district's high schools, with classes from 7:40 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Its address is #1 Estate Charlotte Amalie. The website does not explain how students are placed, so families should ask their child's current school or the district registration office (sttregistration@vide.vi).
