Car shipping

Moving and settling in

If you are bringing a car to the islands, a shipper can carry it by sea from a mainland port, and cargo services also move vehicles between islands. Ask which ports they sail from, how long the crossing takes, what documents they need, how the car must be prepared, and what insurance covers during the voyage. Once the car arrives, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles handles registration. Ask for a written quote that lists every fee. Each listing shows when we last verified it.
